Assess daily private-credit prices separately from executable transaction terms and the investor's contractual right to redeem.

Apollo Global Management's October announcement is a useful case for separating those questions. The research task is to identify what the new information represents, when it becomes available and which investment decisions it can actually support.

This analysis checks Apollo's announcement and public regulatory and accounting explanations as of October 14, 2026. It does not evaluate a particular fund's returns, independently price its loans or recommend an investment.

## What Apollo announced, and what is still scheduled

In its [October 1 announcement](https://ir.apollo.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/654/apollo-expands-daily-pricing-to-all-credit-assets), Apollo described extending its Daily Pricing initiative beyond the investment-grade product suite covered by a July 1 launch. The expansion included certain direct-lending, asset-backed, multi-credit and opportunistic-credit vehicles. Apollo said asset-level information for applicable funds was expected to become available beginning October 30, 2026.

October 30 remains a future date relative to this article's October 14 verification. The announcement establishes an intended delivery date, not evidence that every eligible investor has already received the asset-level data.

Apollo also explained that its figures are estimates produced through its internal methodology using relevant public-market benchmarks. The company distinguished those figures from prices established by an actual market-clearing transaction and said they were provided for information and transparency, rather than as a basis for subscriptions, redemptions or other transactions.

That distinction should stay beside any account of the launch. A daily number can be useful research information while still requiring a separate explanation of its purpose and limitations.

## Keep valuation, execution and liquidity in separate fields

An allocator reviewing [private credit](https://altss.com/glossary/private-credit) should ask three different questions. What is the estimated value? At what terms would another party transact? Under what contractual terms can this investor obtain cash?

Use Apollo's announcement to investigate the first question. It does not, by itself, answer the other two. Request evidence for each: a valuation methodology, a genuinely executable quotation if relevant, and the specific vehicle's governing terms. Avoid allowing a more frequent reporting schedule to stand in for an answer about the ability to sell or redeem.

The [IFRS Foundation's explanation of IFRS 13](https://www.ifrs.org/issued-standards/list-of-standards/ifrs-13-fair-value-measurement/) describes fair value in terms of an orderly transaction between market participants at the measurement date. This is accounting context for understanding a measurement objective. It is not evidence that Apollo's informational estimates satisfy a particular accounting requirement, nor that every vehicle discussed reports under IFRS.

Related definitions of [fair value](https://altss.com/glossary/fair-value) and [net asset value](https://altss.com/glossary/net-asset-value) help frame the vocabulary. The governing accounting policy and the manager's explanation still need to be checked for the actual investment being reviewed.

## Why an interval-fund label needs separate checking

The [SEC's Investor.gov explanation](https://www.investor.gov/introduction-investing/investing-basics/glossary/interval-fund) describes interval funds as vehicles that make periodic offers to repurchase shares. Their shares typically do not trade in a secondary market. The SEC says the prospectus and annual report disclose details of the repurchase offer.

This illustrates the value of separating reporting frequency from access to cash. A number published each day does not tell the reader the terms of a periodic repurchase offer.

It would also be a mistake to label Apollo's entire credit business an [interval-fund](https://altss.com/glossary/interval-fund) business on the strength of this announcement. Identify the particular legal vehicle first. Then read its actual terms. The regulatory example explains a structure; it does not classify every investment included in Apollo's initiative.

## A practical diligence sequence

Start with coverage. Ask which funds and positions are included, whether the displayed number refers to a share, a portfolio or an underlying asset, and which investors can access it. Keep a record of exclusions. A general announcement should not become a claim that a specific holding is covered.

Then ask about calculation. Request the valuation date, relevant inputs and responsibility for the estimate. Ask how new borrower information, financing terms or a changed market benchmark would enter the process. These are diligence questions, not findings about Apollo's implementation.

Next, establish the permitted use. Is the information intended for monitoring, formal reporting or another purpose? If the investor needs to transact, ask for the separate execution process and its terms. Record that evidence separately from the mark itself.

Finally, test delivery against the announced timetable. Following October 30, an update to this article should check for a public confirmation of availability and any changes to scope. If no public confirmation is accessible, preserve the limitation. The passage of a scheduled date is not enough to report successful delivery.

The [Apollo public profile](https://altss.com/profile/apollo-global-management) provides related entity context, while the [private-credit topic library](https://altss.com/taxonomy/private-credit) covers the broader vocabulary. The conclusions here rest on the linked original sources, following [Altss's evidence methodology](https://altss.com/methodology).

## Frequently asked questions

### Does daily pricing mean daily liquidity?

No. Review valuation information and the investment's actual sale or redemption arrangements separately. Do not infer a change to governing documents from a pricing announcement.

### Were asset-level prices already available on October 14?

The October 1 release set an expected starting date of October 30 for applicable funds. This article has not verified delivery before that date.

### Are all the vehicles interval funds?

This review does not establish that. The SEC's interval-fund explanation supplies regulatory context, not a classification of every Apollo vehicle.

### What would justify an update?

A public confirmation of delivery, a revised schedule, a material change to coverage or a correction to the source would justify another check. Preserve the original publication date and identify the material change.
