Bisonti Partners’ September 2026 rebrand connects an established Investcorp business to a fundraising record published six months earlier. The original March announcement separates $1.1 billion in fund commitments from $155 million in committed co-investment capital. The later brand announcement brings that history forward; it does not report another close. For an LP researching the newly named platform, both the predecessor fund and the continuing adviser remain relevant.

## The March close behind the September name

[Investcorp’s September 23 announcement](https://www.bisontipartners.com/insights/investcorp-strategic-capital-rebrands-to-bisonti-partners/) announced that its Strategic Capital Group, or ISCG, would rebrand as Bisonti Partners. It expressly kept the GP capital solutions business within Investcorp’s global platform and traced its inception to 2019.

The release looked back to March’s fundraising for Investcorp Strategic Capital Partners II and associated vehicles. The [original March 5 release](https://www.investcorp.com/investcorp-announces-close-of-second-gp-staking-fund-with-1-1-billion-in-commitments/) supplies the more useful financial detail: over $1.25 billion in commitments, including $1.1 billion of fund commitments and an additional $155 million of committed co-investment capital.

That distinction matters when reconstructing the fund’s history. The September shorthand should retain the March fund-and-associated-vehicles scope, with the co-investment component visible. The March announcement separately reported strategy AUM above $2.4 billion. That stock of managed assets is a different measurement from commitments raised for ISCP II. None of these figures measures cash paid by LPs during September.

## A trading name alongside the legal adviser

Bisonti’s [legal disclosure](https://www.bisontipartners.com/legal-statements/) identifies Investcorp Investment Advisers LLC as the provider of investment advisory services. It describes Bisonti Partners as an Investcorp-owned registered doing-business-as name used by the GP capital solutions business. This is an express issuer attribution connecting the brand and adviser.

The disclosure describes the adviser as a wholly owned subsidiary of Investcorp Holdings B.S.C. (c), locating the advisory-services provider within the group rather than presenting Bisonti as an unrelated new manager.

The September announcement continues to name Investcorp Strategic Capital Partners II. It provides no evidence that the legal fund vehicles themselves were renamed. An LP can connect Bisonti’s current presentation to the earlier adviser and fundraising documents while preserving the names on its own fund agreements.

## The exposure also carries a history

The March release said a majority of ISCP I investors had increased or maintained their commitments to the successor raise. Those disclosed relationships belong in the platform’s fundraising history under the new brand. They do not establish identical terms, unchanged ownership or any individual LP’s ticket.

Bisonti’s [current strategy](https://www.bisontipartners.com/investment-strategy/) targets interests in private-markets investment firms, with structures including minority equity, preferred equity, hybrid equity and revenue shares. That exposure concerns the manager business. The March release described two routes alongside the main fund. A subset of LPs committed the $155 million for co-investments, with opportunities expected in future ISCP II investments. ISCG separately facilitated LP allocations into partner GPs’ funds, without quantifying those allocations. A commitment to ISCP II, participation alongside its investments and a subscription to a partner manager’s own funds are different exposures carried forward under the same brand.

Altss’s [New York pension commitment analysis](https://altss.com/blog/new-york-pension-july-2026-fund-commitments-co-investments-gp-stakes) illustrates why a GP-stake vehicle needs its own exposure description. Here, the useful continuity is specific: the September Bisonti identity, the named Investcorp adviser and the March ISCP II commitment record belong together. The public releases leave legal vehicle amendments, current investment terms and cash movements unverified.
