Visual identity

A consistent signature

Use the supplied vector artwork. The wordmark combines the Altss symbol with custom letterforms; it is artwork, not text to reset in a font. Choose the ink version on a light ground and the white version on a dark ground. Both have transparent backgrounds.

Use the complete wordmark when introducing Altss. The symbol can stand alone in a compact space when the surrounding context already names Altss.

  • Leave clear space on every side equal to at least one quarter of the symbol’s height. Increase it beside other logos.
  • Keep the wordmark’s proportions and all of its parts together. Choose a size at which the inner symbol and all five letters remain clear.
  • Use a plain, contrasting ground. Avoid placing the logo over text, busy photography or chart labels.
  • Keep the supplied colours, geometry and orientation. Do not stretch, rotate, outline, add effects or rebuild the wordmark.

Colour with a purpose

Cobalt (#1F3DE0) is the primary action and brand accent. Registry ink (#101B66) anchors deep brand fields. Ink (#0F1324) and secondary ink (#3D4356) carry text on pearl (#F4F6FB) and paper (#FFFFFF). Keep accents restrained so research and evidence remain easy to read.

Use ink on pearl or paper for body text, and white on cobalt or registry ink for reversed labels. Check the actual foreground/background pairing before publishing. Charts need labels and patterns as well as colour.

Typography

Geist is the principal typeface for the Altss website identity. Use regular and medium weights for reading and headings. Geist Mono is reserved for dates, units, short labels and numerical details. The wordmark is supplied artwork and does not use a substitute typeface.

Use a clear hierarchy, generous line spacing and left-aligned prose. Avoid all-capital paragraphs, tightly spaced small text and oversized numbers without their units or dates. In environments without Geist, use a legible system sans-serif and retain the original logo artwork.

Editorial pictures

Each research article should have a composition specific to its thesis. Use materials, dimensional depth and a clear focal point to explain the subject. A fund launch, an ownership relationship and a project-finance structure should not share an interchangeable cover.

Any printed figure needs its unit, scope and supporting evidence. Recompose for the intended format rather than cropping away qualifications. Review the small card and mobile presentation as carefully as the full hero. Keep text readable and avoid implying scale, ownership or causation that the evidence does not support.

Brand voice

Clear, specific language for professional readers.

Lead with the useful finding

Write as an intelligence company. Start with the fact, decision or explanation the reader came for. Name the organization, transaction or research question before describing the wider market. Use concrete verbs such as research, track, compare, identify and verify.

Sound informed and direct. Keep paragraphs focused on one argument. Explain necessary technical terms on first use and avoid promotional adjectives in place of evidence.

Confidence follows evidence

Distinguish a disclosed fact from an estimate, interpretation or unknown. Put material qualifications next to the claim they qualify. A commitment is not deployed capital; a target is not a close; a source’s stated plan is not a completed transaction.

Avoid unsupported superlatives and promises about returns, accuracy, speed or outcomes. Attribute a source’s claim as a claim. Describe a comparison with the same definitions, dates and evidence standard on both sides.

Show the difference in the sentence

Instead of ‘Unlock powerful insights across private markets,’ write ‘Compare a fund’s disclosed LP commitments, investment mandate and closing dates.’

Instead of ‘The fund raised €300 million,’ when that is only its target, write ‘The fund announced an approximately €150 million first close against a €300 million target.’

Be precise without making every paragraph a disclaimer. Explain a recurring limitation once, then preserve the qualifications that change the reader’s interpretation.

03

Naming guidelines

Company names, product references and attribution.

Markdown
Read naming guidelines

The name

Write Altss, with an initial capital and two final s characters. Keep the name as one word. In ordinary prose, avoid ALTSS, AltSS, Alt or invented abbreviations. The drawn lowercase wordmark remains exactly as supplied.

Use the legal entity name shown in Altss’s current terms when a legal reference is required. A brand reference and a contracting entity are different. Link to the current terms rather than copying legal details into a long-lived template.

Product references

Use product names and availability exactly as stated on the current Altss product and pricing pages. A research use case does not establish a separate product. Do not add ‘OS,’ ‘AI,’ ‘Pro’ or other suffixes to invent a product name.

Describe what the named product actually supports. Research and relationship context do not mean that Altss executes a transaction or makes an introduction. Keep any relevant access or availability qualification beside the description.

Attribution and co-branding

When citing research, name Altss and link to the original article’s canonical URL. Retain its title, original publication date and material scope. Quoting a small excerpt with attribution does not transfer rights to reproduce an entire article, dataset or third-party asset.

Keep Altss and partner identities visually separate, with clear space around each. An asset download does not establish a partnership, endorsement or certification. Ask the Altss team about uses that could imply those relationships.

Writing style guide

Dates, financial figures, contextual sources and corrections.

Make numbers interpretable

State the currency and unit with every financial figure. Use €150 million or $410 million in prose; use a clearly labelled currency column in tables. Keep different currencies separate unless you supply the exchange-rate source and conversion date.

Distinguish target, first close, final close, commitments, invested capital, proceeds, assets under management and valuation. Identify the relevant entity or vehicle. Do not add overlapping tranches, underlying funds or different reporting periods into a false total.

Use absolute dates when timing matters. Separate an announcement date, a filing date, a transaction close and the period covered by a report. Missing dates remain unknown; a recent article does not make an older financial observation current.

Put sources where they help

Link a material claim to the most direct accessible source in the sentence or nearby paragraph. Prefer filings, official reports, committee records and issuer announcements. Use descriptive link text so the reader knows what the source supports.

Explain the original analysis: show a calculation, reconcile definitions or identify a consequential difference between sources. Do not reproduce a competitor’s prose, charts or proprietary rows. A source list alone is not original research; contextual links should support the explanation as it unfolds.

Structure for decisions

Use a descriptive title, an answer-led opening and headings that match real reader questions. Tables should clarify comparable facts, with units, periods and qualifications visible. Remove repeated summaries, generic market introductions and promotional conclusions.

Choose the length needed to answer the question. A focused transaction analysis can be short; a complex allocation or disclosure question may need a deeper treatment. End with the practical implication or unresolved question supported by the evidence.

Correct transparently

Preserve a useful canonical URL and the original publication date. When a material correction changes the reader’s understanding, add a dated correction explaining its scope. Do not describe a partial review as verification of every claim in an article.

Send factual corrections and privacy requests through Altss’s official contact channel. Keep attribution, quotation rights and the rights in third-party source materials separate from the availability of a public page.
