Clear, specific language for professional readers.

## Lead with the useful finding

Write as an intelligence company. Start with the fact, decision or explanation the reader came for. Name the organization, transaction or research question before describing the wider market. Use concrete verbs such as research, track, compare, identify and verify.

Sound informed and direct. Keep paragraphs focused on one argument. Explain necessary technical terms on first use and avoid promotional adjectives in place of evidence.

## Confidence follows evidence

Distinguish a disclosed fact from an estimate, interpretation or unknown. Put material qualifications next to the claim they qualify. A commitment is not deployed capital; a target is not a close; a source’s stated plan is not a completed transaction.

Avoid unsupported superlatives and promises about returns, accuracy, speed or outcomes. Attribute a source’s claim as a claim. Describe a comparison with the same definitions, dates and evidence standard on both sides.

## Show the difference in the sentence

Instead of ‘Unlock powerful insights across private markets,’ write ‘Compare a fund’s disclosed LP commitments, investment mandate and closing dates.’

Instead of ‘The fund raised €300 million,’ when that is only its target, write ‘The fund announced an approximately €150 million first close against a €300 million target.’

Be precise without making every paragraph a disclaimer. Explain a recurring limitation once, then preserve the qualifications that change the reader’s interpretation.
