## Understand the organization, then the relationships

Research investors, companies, funds and relevant people. See documented relationships around a target. In Capital, bring your team’s meeting context into the same review and decide who should take the next step.

Research investors, companies, funds and relevant people. See documented relationships around a target. In Capital, bring your team’s meeting context into the same review and decide who should take the next step.

Illustrative example · fictional organization, people, sources and dates. Public roles and customer-private notes are distinct. A path explains the context; it is not an introduction or a relationship-strength score.

Question: What connects our team to Example Capital, and who should take the next step?

Illustrative subject: Example Capital

### 01 · Discover: Find the organization within your coverage

Search investors, companies, funds and people inside the coverage your plan includes. A result narrows the research; it does not contact anyone.

- Target: Example Capital

### 02 · Understand: See who is relevant to the question

Review the organization and the people relevant to your question, using the fields available on that record.

- Relevant person: Morgan Lee · Investment Director

### 03 · Evidence: Check what the public record supports

Each public fact carries its source and the date it was observed. A role describes a connection; it is not proof of personal access.

- Publicly observed role (Public evidence): Morgan Lee is listed as Investment Director on the example firm’s team page.

- Public evidence (Public evidence): Example Capital team page supports the role. It does not establish the private interaction.

### 04 · Relationship: Place your team’s own context beside it

Permitted meeting context and customer-owned notes sit next to the public record, labelled as private. The path explains how they connect; your team judges what it means.

- Customer-private context (Customer-private): Alex’s meeting note: discussed industrial technology at an industry event.

- Private context (Customer-private): Alex’s note belongs to your team. In Capital, review permitted meeting context alongside the public record.

- Relationship path (Inference · review): Your team → Alex’s recorded interaction → Morgan Lee → Example Capital

### 05 · Signal: Notice what changed, and what did not

Personnel changes, fund activity and event context can prompt a closer look. A newly observed signal does not imply every record is current or that an investor is actively allocating.

- Observed change (Public evidence): Morgan Lee first appears as Investment Director on the example team page · observed 3 September 2026

- Unknown (Unknown): Current interest in a new conversation has not been established.

### 06 · Prepared action: Prepare the next step, then decide

The research ends in a next step your team owns. Your team decides who should approach and what to say; nothing is sent from this view.

- Customer-owned next action (Held for review): Alex reviews the context before deciding whether to approach Morgan.

### Keep each kind of context clear

Public evidence — Publicly observed relationships: Employment, investment and other sourced roles describe a specific connection. Check what the evidence supports and when it was observed; a role is not proof of personal access.

Customer-private — Your team’s private context: In Capital, use permitted meeting context and customer-owned notes alongside the research. Your team decides who should approach and what to say. Altss does not broker introductions.

Inference · review — Context and inference: A shared sector or a related organization can help frame a research question. It does not by itself establish a relationship. Review the underlying evidence before drawing a conclusion.

Unknown — What the sources do not establish: An open question stays marked unknown until evidence supports an answer. An unknown interest, owner or term is not evidence that none exists.

Held for review — A prepared next action: The next step is held for your team’s review. Nothing is sent until your team decides to act, and Altss does not make or broker introductions.

## Research use cases and shipped workflows

Altss supports M&A and corporate-development research through company, ownership, transaction, people and relationship intelligence. It is not an M&A transaction-execution, valuation-comps, virtual-data-room or transaction-management platform.

Full Market Intelligence supports company discovery, ownership research, transaction context, target identification, co-investor research and market mapping. A dedicated Origination workflow is not offered as a live public product.

Altss intelligence supports research and prioritization of private-markets companies, institutional buyers and relevant decision-makers. Revenue is a public configuration destination for those shared capabilities. A separate autonomous Revenue OS is not offered as a live product.

Full Market Intelligence includes transaction/deal intelligence for relationship context, company research and market mapping. This does not imply comprehensive valuations, valuation comps, full financing-round terms or fund performance benchmarks.

Altss maps relationship paths that help users understand whom they already know around a target. Users independently decide whether to request an introduction through their own relationships. Altss does not make or broker investor introductions.

## Why in-platform only

Standard subscription intelligence is used in-platform. No public raw-data API, CSV export or bulk download of Altss content, data feed or graph-replication access is offered; customers can export their own data. Public factual pages and their Markdown equivalents may be read and cited. Agents accepts scoped requests for bounded paid results through manual commercial review; no automated external task transport is live.

Altss is not a general-purpose CRM company. Altss Fundraising OS includes a native investor CRM and pipeline; Intelligence plans provide the research layer. Standard subscriptions do not include external CRM sync.

Evaluate source dates and verification status on the relevant records. Outreach results depend on customer decisions and context.

## What lives inside the platform

### Search and discovery

Research organizations, people, funds and companies within the selected coverage. Review scope, available fields and verification context; published population definitions are listed on Coverage.

### Workspace and lists

Team-shared lists with permissioning. Personal working lists. Tag and annotation system for relationship notes. Coverage universe management for ongoing IR.

### Intelligence and signals

Review available mandate evidence, personnel changes, fund activity and event context. A newly observed signal does not imply every record is current or that an investor is actively allocating.

### Collaboration

Team workspaces for coordinated coverage. Internal notes and activity tracking. Collision detection — prevents multiple partners from independently contacting the same LP. Permissioned visibility for sensitive engagements.

### Team coordination

Plans include one named user and add users as the team grows. Team-wide shared data with individual working space, and role-based access for analyst, associate, and partner levels.

### Native CRM, AI outreach, notetaker, and copilot

Altss Fundraising OS adds a native investor CRM and pipeline for relationship tracking, live in-platform — with AI outreach for warm-path orchestration and sequenced follow-ups, an inbox with a meeting notetaker, a research copilot for natural-language search, and Scouter for investor discovery.

## What doesn't exist

### No CSV export.

Data does not leave the platform in bulk. This is intentional — see 'Why in-platform only' above.

### No external CRM integrations.

No Salesforce, HubSpot, DealCloud, Affinity, or other CRM sync. Altss ships its own investor CRM and pipeline in Altss Fundraising OS, so relationship tracking and deal progression happen inside Altss rather than syncing out. Enterprise contracting does not automatically grant external CRM sync, data-feed or redistribution rights.

### No public raw-data API.

Altss is not a data feed for programmatic use. Enterprise contracting does not automatically grant data-feed or redistribution rights.

### No bulk contact downloads.

Contacts are discoverable and usable in-platform; they're not extractable for off-platform use.

## What you lose vs. what you gain

### What you lose

Inability to dump contacts into your CRM for templated email sequences. Inability to combine Altss data with third-party enrichment tools. Inability to build proprietary workflows that depend on raw data access.

### What you gain

Research and the selected workflow stay connected inside the platform. Retain source and relationship context while your team decides what action is appropriate; no delivery-rate or reply-rate advantage is promised.

## Platform access

Desktop. Primary access is through the web platform optimized for desktop analyst and IR workflows.

Mobile. Responsive mobile access for on-the-go lookup, list review, and pre-meeting preparation. Not a separate mobile app — responsive web design.

In-platform search and AI. Natural-language query support with AI-assisted search. Ask 'which family offices in Miami backed Fund I healthcare managers' and the platform returns a filtered, sourced answer rather than raw keyword matches.

## Roadmap

Separate current research coverage from future workflow expansion. A roadmap is not an inclusion or delivery commitment:

- Full Market already includes company, ownership and transaction research. It does not include comprehensive valuation comps or transaction execution.
- A dedicated Origination workflow and automated external Agent-task transport are not live public services. Current scoped requests require manual commercial review.

### Why don't you offer CRM integrations?

Altss is not a general-purpose CRM company. Altss Fundraising OS includes a native investor CRM and pipeline; Intelligence plans provide the research layer. Standard subscriptions do not include external CRM sync.

### What if our firm requires CRM sync?

Altss is not currently the right fit. Preqin, PitchBook, FINTRX, and Dakota all offer CRM integrations. Many firms use Altss alongside an export-enabled database for different workflows — intelligence and signal work in Altss, bulk sync to CRM from another source.

### Do you have plans to add export in the future?

No change to unrestricted export rights is currently offered. Use the published terms and the rights in your agreement; do not infer a future entitlement.

### Can I access Altss offline?

No. Altss is an online platform; records and signals are served from the platform, not from a local copy.

### How do users share findings with colleagues?

In-platform sharing and team workspaces. Enterprise clients have additional sharing configurations.

### Is there a mobile app?

Responsive mobile web access. No dedicated mobile app at this time.
