## Questions

### Is Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation a fund or a government department?

It is neither purely a fund nor a standard government department. APIDC is a statutory corporation wholly owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, functioning as a nodal industrial development body with an independent board and its own balance sheet. It deploys capital through direct equity investments, term loans, and venture activity rather than through annual departmental budget allocations.

### How does APIDC fund itself?

APIDC is funded through state government equity infusions, retained earnings from its investment portfolio, and debt raised on its own balance sheet backed by a state government guarantee. It does not manage third-party capital from institutional limited partners or retail investors.
