Apollo Education Ventures

The firm is the venture capital affiliate of Apollo Education Group, the corporate parent of University of Phoenix. It invests in education technology companies, and portfolio companies can access University of Phoenix's student body and operational infrastructure as a channel for pilot programs and scaled adoption.

Not structurally, but there is a transactional history. Apollo Global Management was part of the consortium that took Apollo Education Group private in 2016. Apollo Education Ventures remains a separate corporate venture unit under the education group, not a fund managed by the large-cap private equity firm.

The firm invests from early-stage — including seed and startup rounds — through expansion and growth equity. Its strategy is venture capital with a strategic lens, favoring companies where University of Phoenix's distribution or domain expertise can accelerate scale.
