Armatus Family Office AG was established in 2018 by Anastassios Caloupis and Vassilis Makkas. Both founders accumulated more than twenty years each in private banking before launching the firm. Wealth origin traces to their prior roles at Julius Baer, Société Générale, Citibank and J Safra Sarasin. The firm provides advisory portfolio management and discretionary mandates. Clients receive strategic asset allocation, core strategy selection, tactical trade ideas and ongoing risk monitoring. Mandates cover risk-profile, tailor-made and thematic approaches. Armatus also supplies consolidated reporting that incorporates listed securities, real estate and privately held shares across multiple custodians. Investment types include private equity, real estate, hedge funds, commodities and direct co-investments. Activity remains concentrated in Europe. Armatus maintains a single office on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. The team comprises the two founding partners, partner Stavros Lymperopoulos and office manager Olga Taki, who joined in September 2025. September 2025: Olga Taki joined as Office Manager and Assistant Relationship Manager. No additional vehicles or club memberships are disclosed. Ownership structure creates a structural distinction: 80 percent held by management and 20 percent by Aquila AG, a FINMA-regulated entity that supplies compliance, audit and IT infrastructure. This arrangement allows Armatus to remain independent from banks while operating under external regulatory supervision.
