Arts et Biens was established to steward the assets of the Lévy family, whose fortune originated with Pierre and Denise Lévy, founders of the Devanlay group. Their grandson Éric Lombard served as CEO from 2004 to 2007. Adrien Lévy now serves as President. The firm invests in private equity through direct co-investments and fund commitments. It targets buyout, growth and turnaround opportunities in unlisted SMEs. Confirmed positions include majority stakes in The Corporate Gym acquired from Naxicap Partners in 2025 and Fugam completed in 2021 alongside Groupe Centre France. Additional holdings encompass Prenax, Early Birds, Arteum, Bocamexa, Le Camion qui fume, Aquarelle.com, Synertrade and Mezzo Di Pasta. Activity remains concentrated in France and broader Europe. Deployment totals an estimated $150 million. The Paris headquarters at 8 rue des Capucines houses the investment team. In 2025 Arts et Biens completed the majority acquisition of The Corporate Gym. The firm also holds board seats, including at Altavia Group, and maintains LP relationships with Montefiore Investment for more than fifteen years and with every Archimed fund since 2014. A structural feature is the requirement that management teams receive equity participation over five-to-seven-year horizons while co-investors join on a case-by-case basis. Governance follows monthly business reviews and a defined annual budget cycle that prioritizes external growth and operational improvement.
