Ballast Point Capital was formed in 2019 by John Theofilos. The firm manages capital generated by Theochem Laboratories, the chemical manufacturing company his father started in 1962, together with later real-estate holdings. John Theofilos serves as Principal & Founder while family members and professional staff execute day-to-day investment and operating decisions. The office deploys capital across public equities, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, derivatives and real estate.
