The portfolio follows a diversified multi-asset model dominated by public equities and fixed income, with a smaller alternatives sleeve that includes private equity and absolute-return strategies. Because the endowment lacks a dedicated internal investment staff, alternatives exposure is accessed through pooled vehicles and fund-of-funds rather than direct co-investments or separate accounts.

Beloit does not maintain a separate affiliated foundation. The endowment functions as a single commingled pool that merges donor-restricted and board-designated funds under the Investment Committee's oversight. Philanthropic campaigns, such as the $70 million comprehensive campaign concluded in 2021, channel endowment-eligible gifts directly into this pool.

The Investment Committee retains a generalist institutional investment consultant to source, screen, and monitor external managers. This outsourcing model is standard for endowments below roughly $250 million, where building an internal investment office is cost-prohibitive. The consultant presents manager recommendations at quarterly committee meetings, where allocation and hiring decisions are made.
