Carret Private Capital Limited began in 2015 when Kenneth Ho and Samuel Lee established the multi-family office in Hong Kong. Kenneth Ho previously held senior roles at Credit Suisse Hong Kong, Julius Baer and McKinsey. The firm later merged with Lumen Capital Investors and was acquired in majority by Endowus in October 2022. Carret deploys capital through direct co-investments, SPVs, hedge funds, private credit, private equity, real estate and secondaries. It targets early-stage, growth and middle-market opportunities. Confirmed exposures include positions in Digital Health, ClimateTech and AI/ML across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. The firm also runs Carret Private High Conviction Alpha SP and maintains a principal investing portfolio. The firm employs an unspecified number of professionals at its Wan Chai office at Level 6, Five Pacific Place. Endowus holds majority ownership following the 2022 transaction. Kenneth Ho serves on the board of Pico Far East Holdings Limited and the Governor’s Advisory Board of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a founder and vice chairman of the Family Office Association of Hong Kong. Carret maintains a hybrid structure that combines internal principal investing with external fund commitments and a fintech joint venture, SBI Carret, with SBI Hong Kong Holdings. This architecture allows the office to retain control over select direct opportunities while accessing third-party managers across multiple regions.
