Ceresio Investors was founded in 1958 in Lugano. Alberto Foglia served as an early investor in the Quantum Fund and later chaired it for more than thirty years. The firm operates through its banking affiliate Banca del Ceresio and provides asset management and advisory services to families. The firm allocates across public equities, private equity, hedge funds, private credit and direct co-investments. It maintains a multi-manager fund called Haussmann that it co-manages with Mirabaud and NS Partners. Confirmed positions include advisory work on a senior bond placement for Generalfinance in April 2025 and a €30 million bond issuance for Jakala in July 2025. Geographic coverage spans Europe, North America and Asia. The firm employs professionals across investment banking, advisory and portfolio management functions. It maintains relationships with academic partners including SUPSI and Franklin University Switzerland. In 2025 Ceresio Investors hosted private markets conferences in Lugano and Milan with speakers from Borsa Italiana, Genenta Science and Planzer. Ceresio Investors uses its banking license to structure co-investments and advisory mandates that standard family offices cannot offer. The structure allows direct participation in bond placements and private market transactions alongside external managers such as Indus Capital Partners and Edmond de Rothschild.
