DNS Capital was founded in 2014 by Michael A. Pucker and Gigi Pritzker to manage the family enterprise that traces to Pritzker businesses established after immigration in the 1880s. The office began with a small team and early venture positions before expanding to a staff of roughly 15 plus advisors. The firm deploys across private equity, venture capital, real estate, and private credit. It executes direct co-investments, SPVs, and select fund commitments while covering buyouts, growth equity, and seed rounds. Confirmed holdings include Good Eggs with Obvious Ventures, Yoto with Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Activ Surgical with Tao Capital Partners, and Glympse Bio with Temasek and ARCH Venture Partners. Activity spans North America and Europe with additional exposure in Africa and Oceania. The team of approximately 15 professionals operates from a single Chicago headquarters. DNS Capital maintains philanthropic vehicles including the Pritzker Pucker Family Foundation and board roles at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and the Sundance Institute. In November 2025 the firm sponsored benefit concerts for The Busyhead Project and the Red Sox Foundation. DNS Capital functions as both family investment office and internal merchant bank, sharing control of five mature operating businesses with The Pritzker Organization. This hybrid structure allows direct ownership alongside external co-investors while preserving alignment with the founding family’s legacy holdings.
