Apicil operates a hybrid model — direct management of real estate and certain alternative exposures, combined with fund commitments to specialist managers like Siparex. The group has progressively internalized asset management functions under Philippe Barret's tenure while maintaining external partnerships for niche strategies including gold-linked products.

Fondation APICIL serves as the group's primary philanthropic vehicle. The foundation focuses on health and social welfare causes, including a partnership with Fondation HCL (Hospices Civils de Lyon). Apicil also supports cultural institutions through patronage of La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux.
