Hadley Family Office was established in 2018 to manage the third-generation Hadley family interests. Barry Hadley founded Mid-Canadian Investment Castings in 1964 in a Georgetown garage; the business grew into precision non-ferrous casting and related industrial operations. River Ewing and Kelly Ewing, both third-generation family members, serve as directors. The office deploys patient capital across liquid markets, direct operating-company investments, real estate, and aerospace assets. Hadley Family Capital functions as the dedicated direct-investing vehicle that commits to search funds and entrepreneurial acquisitions. Confirmed holdings include Mid-Canadian Investment Castings in Georgetown, Shell-O-Matic, Orillia Rama Regional Airport in Ramara, and Perfect Landing Bar & Grill. Geographic exposure centers on Ontario with additional grant activity outside Canada. No public headcount or AUM figure exists. The office maintains membership in CAASA and operates one additional commercial property in Ramara, Ontario. In 2019 the family launched the Hadley Family Foundation as a separate private grant-making charity. The foundation issues long-term sustainable grants to selected Canadian and international organizations. Hadley Family Capital maintains an explicit acquisition-entrepreneur focus that distinguishes the structure from typical single-family offices. Capital is committed directly to search-fund vehicles and operating-company purchases rather than through external fund commitments. This model keeps decision rights inside the family while allowing targeted co-investment with acquisition operators.
