HitecVision sources the majority of its proprietary deal flow through its multi-decade network on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The firm's reputation as a specialist energy investor, combined with the career paths of its team members who previously held senior roles at Equinor, Schlumberger, and Norwegian industrial companies, creates a pipeline of management buyouts, corporate carve-outs, and growth equity opportunities in the North Sea energy sector.

HitecVision invests primarily through direct and co-investment equity in energy and energy infrastructure companies. The firm does not operate as a fund-of-funds and allocates almost all of its committed capital to direct control or significant minority positions in its portfolio companies.

HitecVision has launched dedicated investment vehicles targeting renewable energy infrastructure, including offshore wind supply chain companies, grid technology, and electrification assets. This marks a deliberate evolution from its historical focus on oilfield services, though the firm continues to manage its legacy oil and gas portfolio alongside the newer energy transition investments.

HitecVision's investment universe centers on the North Sea basin and Northern Europe, with the vast majority of its portfolio companies headquartered in Norway, Denmark, or the United Kingdom. The firm occasionally co-invests alongside international partners in energy infrastructure assets elsewhere in Europe.
