Keiretsu Chennai & Singapore

Keiretsu Chennai & Singapore is a local chapter of Keiretsu Forum, the world's largest angel investor network with over 50 chapters globally. Each chapter operates autonomously, screening local deals and presenting them to its members, while sharing cross-border deal flow with other chapters through the parent network. This structure allows the Chennai and Singapore groups to access vetted opportunities from North America, Europe, and other Asian hubs.

The chapter focuses on early-stage investments, including seed and start-up rounds, consistent with Keiretsu Forum's broader venture capital mandate. Members review opportunities that range from pre-revenue concept-stage companies to Series A-eligible ventures. Individual members choose how much and in which deals to participate rather than committing to a blind pool.

Members invest individually — there is no pooled fund structure. Deals are presented at monthly chapter meetings, and each accredited investor decides independently whether to commit capital, how much to allocate, and under what terms. The chapter facilitates deal screening, due diligence coordination, and syndication logistics but does not manage a collective investment vehicle.

The chapter covers sectors aligned with technology innovation in India and Southeast Asia, including enterprise software, fintech, digital health, AI/ML, industrial technology, mobility and transportation, energy transition and renewables, and agri-food technology. The deal flow reflects the parent network's broad sectoral coverage rather than a narrow vertical mandate.

Deal flow for the Chennai chapter originates through member networks, ecosystem partnerships, and direct founder submissions that undergo Keiretsu Forum's standardized screening process. The Singapore presence extends sourcing into ASEAN's financial hub. Promising local companies may also be cross-presented to other Keiretsu Forum chapters in Asia, North America, and Europe for syndication.
