Kiwoom Capital was established in 2018 as a credit finance firm inside the Daou Kiwoom Group. Kim Ik-rae founded the parent group; his eldest son Kim Dong-jun leads related investment and private equity entities. The firm allocates across credit, real estate and early-stage technology. Asset-class exposure includes commercial office buildings, hotel properties and security-token vehicles. Confirmed holdings comprise ActiveOn, ECI, Zenix Robotics, NearthLab and exited positions in SOS Lab and Joonggonara. Geographic reach centers on South Korea with additional direct real-estate assets in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. AUM figures are not publicly disclosed. The firm maintains a philanthropic vehicle, the Guro Hope Welfare Foundation, established in 2009. In January 2025 Kiwoom Capital participated as a speaker at the Korea Capital Market Conference in Seoul. Kiwoom Capital operates as the dedicated corporate investment arm of the Daou Kiwoom Group rather than an independent family office or third-party manager. Its mandate is executed through direct ownership of operating businesses and real assets alongside select venture and growth positions.
