## Questions

### How is Liberty Life Swaziland related to Standard Bank?

Standard Bank Group Limited is the ultimate parent of Liberty Holdings Limited, which in turn owns Liberty Life Swaziland. This creates an integrated financial services chain: Standard Bank Eswatini distributes Liberty's insurance products through its retail bank branches under a bancassurance agreement. The relationship gives Liberty Life privileged access to the kingdom's largest banking customer base.

### What is the regulatory environment for Liberty Life Swaziland?

The insurer is licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) Eswatini, which sets capital adequacy, solvency, and market-conduct standards. Eswatini's insurance market is small and concentrated, with Liberty Life among the dominant long-term underwriters. The currency peg to the South African rand — via the Common Monetary Area — shapes both liability pricing and asset-side constraints.
