General Information
Neurosciences Research Foundation (NRF) is a non-profit organization established in 1962, initially associated with the Neurosciences Research Program at MIT. It served as the legal parent for The Neurosciences Institute, founded in 1981 by Nobel Laureate Gerald M. Edelman, which conducted theoretical, computational, and experimental neuroscience research. After closing its research operations in 2018, NRF now supports the newly formed Center for Advanced Neural Systems (CANS).
