Parcom operates as an independent partnership, with investment decisions made by its senior partners, who collectively executed the 2003 management buyout from ING Group. Parcom has been fully independent of ING Group since the 2003 management buyout. ING is not an investor in Parcom's funds, nor does it influence investment decisions. The spinout ended the structural conflicts of interest that existed when Parcom operated as a captive private equity division within a regulated bank. Parcom's investment activity is concentrated in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
