Kiva Dickinson, as Founder and Managing Partner, leads deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management. He is supported by Partner Madeline Kaplan, who was promoted in September 2024 and focuses on beauty, personal care, and longevity. The firm does not disclose an investment committee structure beyond the named partners.

Selva leans on a domain-specialized team with prior consumer investing experience at CircleUp and TPG, plus operating partners with deep retail and supply-chain networks from Harry's, Apple, and Coca-Cola. The firm also publishes thematic essays under 'Selva Perspective' to attract founders aligned with its health-and-wellness thesis.

Selva leads Seed and Series A rounds. It does not participate in later-stage growth equity, buyouts, or public-market strategies. All positions are direct equity in branded consumer health and wellness companies.

Selva only executes direct equity investments. There is no indication the firm commits capital to other venture funds as an LP or participates in fund-of-funds structures.

The firm employs a dedicated operating partner team. Doug Waller advises on retail strategy and brick-and-mortar expansion. Matt Gornstein guides supply chain, sourcing, and manufacturing. Rachel Peck supports human capital, leadership development, and organizational scaling. This in-house model is atypical for a Seed and Series A investor.

Selva publishes no explicit negative sector list. However, its entire portfolio consists of branded consumer products in health, wellness, personal care, pet, and functional nutrition. It does not invest in enterprise software, deep tech, fintech, or industrials.

Selva has not publicly disclosed a co-investment program. Its model is to lead rounds directly, and no evidence suggests the firm syndicates as a passive co-investor alongside other institutional GPs.
