Founder and Executive Chairman Lisa Stewart has overseen all acquisitions and strategy implementation since 2006. President and CEO Frank Belveal, promoted in August 2023, leads the current management team, with Vice President of Engineering Pete Lawrence responsible for technical evaluation of existing assets and new opportunities.

Sheridan operates as a private equity firm that raises discrete funds to acquire and operate onshore U.S. oil and gas assets. It is not a family office, and there is no disclosed connection to a single-family wealth source. The management team exercises direct operational control over producing properties.

Sheridan acquires mature onshore U.S. oil and gas properties, implements operational improvements, reinvests free cash flow into cost-effective development, and pursues strategic partnerships. The strategy targets conventional assets where the team's engineering expertise can extend field life and improve recovery rates.

Sheridan focuses exclusively on the onshore United States, with a principal operating presence in East Texas and additional operations across multiple counties. The firm maintains a corporate headquarters in Houston and a district production office in Carthage, Texas.

Sheridan only pursues direct acquisitions of operating oil and gas properties where it can act as operator and implement its management strategy. There is no evidence the firm makes passive fund commitments or invests as a non-operating partner.

Sheridan's leadership team is composed almost entirely of career petroleum engineers and operators, not finance professionals. The firm runs daily field operations itself rather than outsourcing to contract operators, and its advisory model relies on hands-on reservoir engineering and production management rather than financial structuring alone.

Lisa Stewart serves as Executive Chairman of Sheridan while simultaneously sitting on the boards of Coterra Energy, Western Midstream Partners, and Jadestone Energy. These are independent public or publicly traded companies, not portfolio companies of Sheridan, and her board service is separate from her Sheridan responsibilities.
