Managing Partners Daniel Blandón and Carlos Gutiérrez lead investment decisions across the platform. Blandón contributes over twelve years of experience across investment funds, hedge funds, and venture capital, while Gutiérrez brings direct operating experience inside VC-backed startups. The two partners govern all three vehicles — SIMMA Ventures, BIOS Ventures, and INVX — without separate investment committees disclosed publicly.

SIMMA combines an extensive advisory network with embedded corporate relationships. The eight-person advisory board includes active founders such as Alex Torrenegra (Torre, Bunny Studios) and Andrés Gutiérrez (Tappsi, Tpaga) who operate pipelines of early-stage startups across Colombia. The BIOS Ventures corporate-venture structure further provides privileged access to agtech, foodtech, and sustainability startups adjacent to Grupo BIOS's agricultural supply chain.

SIMMA Capital is organized as a venture capital firm, not a family office. It manages capital through three distinct investment vehicles and pursues a strategy of backing early-stage technology startups across Latin America, functioning as a traditional VC platform rather than a single-family investment vehicle.

SIMMA covers the full early-stage spectrum. INVX handles pre-seed angel investments in Colombia, while SIMMA Ventures targets seed rounds across Latin America, typically acting as a co-investor. BIOS Ventures invests across early-stage companies in its sector verticals. The firm does not publicly indicate participation in Series B or later-stage rounds.

BIOS Ventures operates as the corporate-venture capital arm of Grupo BIOS, the largest agro-industrial company in Colombia. Managing Partner Ángela Prieto leads BIOS Ventures, which specializes in animal tech, the pet industry, agtech, foodtech, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing. The other two vehicles, SIMMA Ventures and INVX, operate independently of the Grupo BIOS relationship.
