CEO Urban Eriksson leads the firm, but investment decisions are executed within a structure that blends state governance with university oversight. The board is chaired by the former CEO of Almi Företagspartner and includes the vice-rector for collaboration at SLU. Proprietary flow is structurally tied to the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Advisors embed with researchers and students across SLU's campuses in Uppsala, Alnarp, Skara, and Umeå, offering free support that surfaces ideas before they reach outside investors. SLU Holding AB is a wholly state-owned company, managed under the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Its services are government-funded and free to the university's community. This public ownership distinguishes it from independent university venture arms and subjects its operations to Swedish transparency and governance regulation, including published annual and sustainability reports.

The firm has established co-investment relationships with regional Swedish investors, including Almi Invest and Beijer Invest. Co-investments are used at the seed stage to bring additional capital and commercial expertise into SLU spinouts — Beijer Invest, for example, joins deals in companies such as Artroa and Deliplant.

SLU Holding operates Green Innovation Park campuses in Uppsala, Alnarp, and Umeå as physical hubs for green-industry startups. These parks provide lab space, offices, and proximity to SLU's academic resources, functioning as a captive real-estate layer that supports portfolio companies and attracts external co-tenants aligned with the university's sustainability mission.
