StartMate

StartMate is structured primarily as an accelerator program. It runs cohorts that combine a small equity investment with mentorship, workshops, and networking opportunities. It does not appear to manage a traditional venture capital fund with multiple LPs or a separately disclosed AUM.

StartMate invests predominantly in Australian and US-based technology startups. Its offices in Sydney and San Francisco reflect this dual focus, and its accelerator cohorts have included founders from both countries.

StartMate selects startups through a competitive application process, evaluating factors such as team quality, market opportunity, product traction, and scalability. Selected companies receive a standard investment and enter the program, which culminates in a demo day where founders pitch to investors.
