The three founding partners — Yuval Baharav, Pinhas Buchris, and Nir Adler — make investment decisions collectively. Buchris brings senior defense-establishment access from his tenure as Director General of Israel's Ministry of Defense, while Baharav and Adler contribute operational and entrepreneurial experience. No external investment committee or advisory board members have been publicly identified.

The firm leans on the partners' networks across Israel's military, intelligence, and cybersecurity communities. Buchris's defense background provides visibility into founders emerging from elite technology units, a sourcing channel that has traditionally driven Israel's most valuable venture-backed outcomes. The partners' own operating experience adds founder referrals and repeat-startup access.

SOMV primarily invests at seed stage, occasionally entering at pre-seed. The firm reserves capital for follow-on rounds into Series A. It does not describe itself as a multi-stage fund and has not raised growth or later-stage vehicles.

SOMV has not published a formal exclusion list. Its portfolio concentration in enterprise software, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital health strongly suggests it avoids consumer internet, hardware-heavy deep-tech, and life sciences — sectors where Israeli seed funds less commonly compete with U.S.-based peers for U.S. enterprise demand.
