T&T sources deals through the principal's deeply established regional network across Greater China, developed over decades in real estate and early-stage technology investing. The firm typically co-invests alongside a trusted network of domestic Chinese venture capital firms, allowing it to access rounds that are not broadly shopped to international institutional investors.

T&T is structured as a pure single family office, managing only the capital generated by Tong Jinquan. It does not accept outside limited partners. While it maintains an active posture in direct venture capital deals, it does so with permanent family capital rather than a traditional venture fund structure with a finite investment period.

The firm is known primarily for direct investments in companies and real assets. It does not publicly market itself as a limited partner in external private equity or venture capital funds, preferring to lead or co-invest directly in early-stage and growth-stage Chinese technology companies.

T&T targets enterprise software, artificial intelligence, digital health, and fintech within its venture allocation. This is paired with a stable real-estate portfolio comprising commercial and residential properties in Hong Kong and mainland Tier-1 cities, representing the family's original wealth-creation engine.

The wealth originates from Tong Jinquan's real estate development activities through Tongda Group, a Hong Kong-listed entity. This property-derived capital was subsequently deployed into the Chinese technology venture ecosystem, diversifying the family's balance sheet significantly beyond its real estate roots.

Co-investment is a core element of T&T's strategy. Rather than deploying capital as a passive limited partner in a blind pool, the firm has historically preferred to invest alongside other domestic venture firms on a deal-by-deal basis in China. This allows for greater control and visibility into specific company-level outcomes.
