Tecity Group traces its roots to 1975 when Tan Sri Tan Chin Tuan established the office after his tenure as chairman of OCBC Bank. The family office continues under the direction of his grandchildren, who hold the senior executive positions. The office allocates across real estate, private equity, venture capital and listed equities. It executes direct co-investments and joint ventures rather than relying solely on external fund commitments. Confirmed holdings include commercial assets at Visioncrest Orchard and Solitaire on Cecil in Singapore, a logistics portfolio spanning Australia and South Korea, and tin smelting operations. Geographic reach covers Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. Partners include the Ng family of Far East Organization in the Far East Hospitality venture. The firm employs family members in treasury, finance and investment roles. Chew Gek Khim also serves on the boards of the National University of Singapore and the Wealth Management Institute.
