TPT Group began in 1999 when Mike Marr and Terese Marr started MJM Electrical. The couple later established TPT Family Office in 2023 to manage the family's investment activities separately from the operating group. Wealth originated from the Marr family's electrical contracting business and subsequent acquisitions. The family office deploys capital through direct co-investments, SPVs, real estate, private credit, and natural resources. Asset classes include commercial and industrial property via Promessa Property Group, syndicated dairy farms, and forestry investments. Confirmed holdings encompass properties in Albany, Tauranga, Hamilton, Napier, Three Kings, Queen Charlotte Sounds, and Karikari Peninsula.
