Unigestion traces its origins to 1971 when it was established in Geneva. Bernard Sabrier assumed leadership at age 23 in 1976 and shaped its path into an independent investment manager. The Famsa Foundation, created in 2011, serves as controlling shareholder and directs support toward charitable, educational and medical initiatives. The firm deploys capital through private equity, listed equities, hedge funds, real estate, private credit and commodities. Investment stages span buyout, growth equity and venture capital. Geographic reach covers Europe, North America and Asia. Recent platform moves include the 2025 combination of its private equity activities with Sagard to form Sagard Private Equity Solutions and a 2025 strategic partnership between Kepler Cheuvreux and Unigestion focused on quantitative equity strategies. Confirmed holdings include Fokus Nordic and DEAS Asset Management in the Nordics. Unigestion Holding One SA maintains interests in Kepler Unigestion and U Wealth SA, the latter a FINMA-regulated wealth manager. In 2026 the Sagard partnership transaction closed, integrating Unigestion Private Equity into the combined platform while existing mandates continue.
