## Questions

### What is Vest Assured's core product and who is the primary customer?

The firm manufactures and sells aerosol defense sprays under its own brand, with a focus on the dual-compound PhaZZ Enforcer model that combines pepper spray with CS tear gas. Its primary end users are law enforcement agencies and military personnel, with a parallel line directed at civilian self-defense markets. The product is sold direct-to-consumer through the firm's website and distributed through government procurement channels.

### Does Vest Assured manufacture its own active ingredient, or does it resell a third-party formulation?

Vest Assured formulates the PhaZZ Enforcer liquid in-house, a distinguishing feature of its manufacturing model. This is not a standard generic capsaicin solution; the firm holds the proprietary blend of oleoresin capsicum and CS military-grade tear gas, which legally restricts the product's sale to consumers in certain states but differentiates it from competitors who source off-the-shelf irritants.

### Are there geographic or regulatory constraints on Vest Assured's products?

Several US states, including New York and Massachusetts, restrict consumer shipment of the PhaZZ Enforcer formulation because CS tear gas exceeds the irritant strength permitted for non-law-enforcement sale. The firm states explicitly that the product cannot be shipped to those jurisdictions for civilian purchase, which narrows the total addressable consumer market but does not affect sales to law enforcement agencies.
