General Information
The Viridian Group Pension Fund, formerly known as the Viridian Group Pension Scheme (VGPS), is a multi-employer pension scheme. It was originally associated with the Viridian Group, an electricity provider, and closed its final salary scheme to new entrants in 1998, subsequently running a defined contribution scheme for new employees. The scheme was later known as the Northern Ireland Electricity Pension Scheme (NIEPS) after the companies were divested in 2010.
