#What is Altss?
Altss provides private-markets intelligence for investment, fundraising and institutional business development. Research organizations, people, funds and companies with ownership, commitment, transaction and relationship context. Intelligence provides research; Capital adds Fundraising OS workflows. Revenue and Agents accept scoped, manually reviewed requests.
For a fundraising team, the distinction between the products matters. Intelligence supports research. Fundraising OS adds the investor CRM, customer-reviewed outreach and communication context. Each OS configuration includes its matching Intelligence coverage; institutional allocator research requires Global or Full Market.8
#What ships in the platform today
Every capability below is live for customers today. They sit in two places: the Intelligence plans, and Altss Fundraising OS, which adds the fundraising and IR workflow on top. Roadmap items are named as roadmap on the platform page, never here.

Native investor CRM
Altss is not a general-purpose CRM company. Altss Fundraising OS includes a native investor CRM and pipeline; Intelligence plans provide the research layer. Standard subscriptions do not include external CRM sync.
AI-assisted outreach
Fundraising OS supports AI-assisted outreach and sequenced follow-ups under customer review and authorization. Altss does not independently solicit investors on behalf of customers or provide a bulk email-blasting service.
Meeting intelligence
Meeting records and follow-up context inside authorized fundraising workflows.
Inbox and interaction context
Customer-authorized communication context within the fundraising workflow.
Events intelligence
Conference and event context for research and preparation.
Relationship and warm-path mapping
Altss maps relationship paths that help users understand whom they already know around a target. Users independently decide whether to request an introduction through their own relationships. Altss does not make or broker investor introductions.

Standard subscription intelligence is used in-platform. No public raw-data API, CSV export or bulk download of Altss content, data feed or graph-replication access is offered; customers can export their own data. Public factual pages and their Markdown equivalents may be read and cited. Agents accepts scoped requests for bounded paid results through manual commercial review; no automated external task transport is live.
#What is PEI Group?
PEI Group is the parent business. Private Equity International is one of its specialist brands, rather than a separate competitor to compare on a second page. On October 22, 2026, PEI announced PEI Private Equity, bringing Private Equity International, PE Hub, Buyouts and Venture Capital Journal into one platform.1
The buying scope still matters: a private-equity membership, another asset-class platform and an enterprise data agreement can have different entitlements. Ask for the proposal to identify exactly which content, data and network access it includes.6
This page compares the relevant PEI services together. It does not assume that subscribing to one publication unlocks every dataset, benchmark, event or integration sold by the group.
#Coverage comparison
Family-office discovery: test the actual target list
Altss publishes 9,000+ family offices and 30,000+ institutional investors, RIAs and family offices. Family offices form part of the broader allocator population, so adding those figures would double-count organizations. Neither aggregate has a recorded measurement date.7
The PEI pages reviewed do not provide a separate family-office count. That leaves the comparison open at the record level. Give both teams the same mix of known targets and harder-to-find offices, then compare legal identity, investment team, disclosed fund history and relevant source dates. A missing published total establishes neither absence nor equivalent depth.
Private equity: keep the product scope beside the number
PEI's Private Equity platform page lists 13,000+ investors, 15,000+ managers, 51,000+ funds and 217,000+ commitments. Those are private-equity platform figures, read October 22, 2026. The launch announcement gives lower minimums for funds and commitments; this comparison uses the platform page's labeled counters consistently.12
An investor record, a fund record and a commitment answer different questions. For an LP evaluating a manager, the depth of comparable fund histories may decide the purchase. For a GP building a prospect list, the relevant decision-maker and the evidence of strategy fit may matter more. A larger total in another population cannot settle either decision.
Current appetite needs its own evidence
PEI's investor-intelligence service describes direct investor interviews and network access as inputs to allocation-intention research. Its profiles include allocation ranges, known commitments, contacts and signals about future activity.9
A historical commitment establishes a relationship with a fund; it does not establish an open allocation today. In either demonstration, ask to see the evidence behind a claim of current appetite and its date. Keep an investor with confirmed current interest separate from one whose history merely fits the strategy.
#Data freshness
Altss
- Public records carry source-specific dates where available. No population-wide measured refresh cadence or universal verification deadline is established here. Page modified, source captured, fact observed, entity verified and aggregate measured describe different events. Check the date attached to the relevant claim; a missing verification date means unknown. Stored source history does not establish a customer-facing historical-analysis interface.
PEI Group
- PEI says fund and manager records are updated as closes, transactions and disclosures occur. Its published process describes research-team validation before records enter the database. Those are vendor descriptions, rather than a latency measurement performed by Altss.5
Test a recent fund close, an investment-team change and an older commitment. Compare the event date, the source date and the record's check date. A recently edited page can still contain historical facts.
#Methodology: public evidence and investor interviews
PEI describes a combination of manager and investor submissions, regulatory filings, research and editorial work. Interviews can add information that has not appeared in a public announcement. Ask which part of an allocation statement is disclosed history and which part reflects an investor conversation.59
Altss uses documented public records and disclosures, organization submissions, and licensed sources where permitted. Source rights, collection method and factual verification are separate questions; consult the cited source and field-level provenance.
Assess provenance on the same decision. If a record says an investor backs emerging managers, inspect what supports that statement and whether it applies to the current strategy. Neither a public-source label nor an interview label removes the need to check context.
#Pricing
Altss
Published. Family Office Intelligence is $15,000/year, Global Investor Intelligence $18,000/year, and Full Market Intelligence $25,000/year. Plans include one named user; additional named users on global Intelligence plans and Fundraising OS plans are $5,000/year each. Regional Family Office Access covers one region's family offices: Europe Family Offices $5,000/year and North America Family Offices $8,000/year. Each is exactly 1 named user; additional users are not available on these plans. Altss Fundraising OS, which adds the investor CRM, AI-assisted outreach, and meeting and events intelligence, comes in three configurations: Family Office Fundraising OS $25,000/year, Global Fundraising OS $35,000/year, and Full Market + Fundraising OS $45,000/year. Matching Intelligence coverage is included in each OS price. Altss software licenses are annual. Separately contracted research, tasks, services and publishing engagements have their own terms when available.
PEI Group
PEI describes Base and Unlimited corporate memberships. The pages reviewed do not publish a fixed price that can be compared directly with Altss's annual plans.6
- Request the named platform, user count, contract term and data entitlements in writing.
- Separate membership access, event participation, benchmarks and enterprise delivery when reviewing the quote.
- PEI describes Enterprise Data Solutions as an add-on to an existing qualifying membership or subscription. Confirm eligibility and integration fees.3
Compare the complete working setup. A research subscription and a package that also supplies your investor pipeline solve different portions of the job. Neither published pricing nor a negotiated quote alone proves lower total cost.
Altss prices resolve from its current commercial catalog. No PEI price estimate or savings claim is made. PEI membership descriptions and enterprise conditions were reviewed October 22, 2026.
#Where PEI Group wins
PEI is the stronger fit when the purchase is primarily an editorial, analytical or professional-network resource.
- 01
Private-equity journalism and editorial context
For a team following manager developments and deal coverage, PEI's specialist reporting is a distinct reason to subscribe. Allocator research in Altss does not replace those publications.1
- 02
Fund comparison and benchmarking
PEI's private-equity offering includes fund-performance comparison and benchmark capabilities. If an investment committee needs comparable performance analysis, evaluate that product directly. Altss's fund and transaction records do not imply performance benchmarks or valuation comps.2
- 03
- 04
Licensed data in your own environment
PEI offers enterprise integration routes. If your analytics team needs licensed tables or private-market queries inside its existing environment, scope that agreement. Altss standard subscriptions do not include raw-data API access, bulk downloads or external CRM sync.3
Make these requirements explicit before comparing prices. If journalism, performance analytics or enterprise delivery is the reason for buying, replacing it with a prospecting tool leaves the original need unresolved.
#Where Altss wins
- 01
Allocator research connected to a native pipeline
Fundraising OS brings investor research, CRM, reviewed outreach and meeting context into the selected configuration. Evaluate it when the handoff from research to follow-up is the work your team needs to improve. Intelligence alone does not include that workflow.8
- 02
A published family-office discovery proposition
Altss publishes 9,000+ family-office organizations. For a raise with a substantial family-office component, that makes a focused coverage demonstration practical. It is a reason to test Altss against your list, rather than a claim that every target or contact is present.7
- 03
Public plan scope before a sales discussion
Altss publishes its Intelligence and Fundraising OS prices and coverage distinctions. A team can shortlist the relevant plan before requesting a demonstration. Confirm the coverage, users and workflow together on the pricing page; choosing a lower tier does not add broader entitlements.8

#Which is right for you?
- A GP building an allocator pipeline
- Start with an Altss coverage demonstration if the job is investor discovery and follow-up. Compare the matching Fundraising OS configuration with the complete PEI proposal and any separate CRM your team would need.
- An LP assessing managers and funds
- Start with PEI when fund comparisons, specialist reporting and benchmarks drive the decision. Inspect the strategy and vintage coverage behind the analysis before treating the headline database count as a sufficient match.
- An IR team already using PEI
- Keep the reporting and network access your team uses. Test whether Altss adds useful allocator coverage or a workflow you lack. Measure incremental target coverage and reduced re-entry work; do not buy a second subscription solely because its totals are larger.
- A data or analytics team
- Evaluate PEI's enterprise delivery if you need private-market data in your own systems. Altss's public machine-readable pages support public research; they are not a substitute for a licensed premium data feed.
#Pros and cons
Altss

Cons
- −No directly comparable fixed rate on the reviewed membership pages6
- −No separate family-office total on the pages reviewed
- −Platform membership, network access and enterprise delivery need an explicit entitlement check
#Using both together
Using both can make sense when the subscriptions have separate jobs and the combined cost is justified:
- PEI for private-equity reporting, fund comparisons and professional-network participation.
- Altss for allocator discovery and, with Fundraising OS, the investor pipeline and reviewed follow-up.
Run a small evaluation against the same target list. Record which additional organizations each product identifies, which claims have usable evidence and which workflow steps still require manual work.
There is no native PEI-to-Altss integration claimed here. Keep licensed content within the permitted uses of each agreement. Buying both does not authorize copying either vendor's database into the other product.
