General Information

Established in 1979, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) is the only artist-founded museum in Los Angeles. It is dedicated to collecting and exhibiting contemporary art created after 1940, housing one of the most compelling collections in the world with roughly 7500 objects. MOCA operates two distinct venues in Los Angeles: MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, engaging audiences through ambitious exhibitions, educational programs, and publishing.
