Strive Masiyiwa is the founder and Executive Chairman. Hardy Pemhiwa serves as President and Group CEO, reporting to the board. Each business unit — Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Africa Data Centres, Liquid C2, Cassava AI, and Sasai Fintech — has its own CEO. Masiyiwa also invests privately through a separate family office and investment companies, keeping the operating group at arm's length from his personal portfolio.

It operates as both. Cassava Technologies is a corporate holding entity with five revenue-generating operating subsidiaries across digital infrastructure and services. In parallel, Strive Masiyiwa's family office makes private investments globally that are distinct from the Cassava group. The firm does not report external fund vehicles or outside limited partners.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies operates over 100,000km of cross-border fibre, which the firm describes as Africa's largest independent network. Africa Data Centres manages the continent's largest carrier-neutral colocation footprint, with nine certified facilities in six countries as of 2021. Both units serve a mix of enterprise, government, and wholesale customers across more than 30 markets.

Cassava references 'strategic partnerships' with global technology groups and institutional investors, but the firm does not publicly disclose a co-investment programme, club structures, or regular LP fund vehicles. Its default posture appears to be balance-sheet deployment plus joint ventures on large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

The Higherlife Foundation and Delta Philanthropies are family-led entities run by Tsitsi Masiyiwa and daughter Elizabeth Tanya. They are separate from Cassava Technologies' corporate structure. The foundations focus on education, health, disaster relief, and rural transformation, having supported over 400,000 scholarships for African youth.

Cassava AI is an enterprise artificial intelligence unit that provides strategy development, systems integration, and managed governance services. It operates through global partnerships and proprietary development. In August 2025, Strive Masiyiwa's AI-related work earned him a spot on the Time 100 Most Influential People in AI list.

The firm reports a presence in 94 countries. Key markets outside Africa include the Middle East, India, Latin America, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Its brand positioning is 'a global technology leader of African heritage'.
