Alliance Ventures is the strategic venture-capital arm of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, launched in 2018 with up to $1 billion in committed capital. It invests in mobility and technology startups. For balance-sheet investments tied to vehicle financing and fleet electrification, Mobilize Financial Services and RCI Banque serve as the group's primary deployment vehicles.

Ampere is Renault Group's dedicated electric-vehicle and software subsidiary, created through a carve-out in 2023. It operates as a standalone entity with its own balance sheet, intended for a potential initial public offering. Renault Group retains majority ownership and control over Ampere's strategic direction and investment commitments.

Investment activity is concentrated on sectors that directly support the group's electric and connected-vehicle roadmap, including battery technology, autonomous systems, and mobility platforms. Renault is not known to hold a diversified portfolio of assets unrelated to transport, though its captive finance arm does manage a large book of customer and dealer finance receivables across multiple currencies.

Alliance Ventures operates as a shared investment vehicle, with deal flow and capital commitments approved by a management committee that includes representatives from all three Alliance partners. The December 2024 restructuring — which moved a 28.4% Nissan stake into a French trust — recalibrated governance without dissolving the shared investment platform, preserving a common pipeline for co-investment in key suppliers and technology firms.

Renault Group does not disclose a consolidated family-office or corporate-investment AUM figure. The group's captive finance arm, RCI Banque, reported €53.6 billion in average performing assets in 2024 (per Renault Group 2024 Annual Results), serving as a proxy for the scale of the balance sheet available to support fleet financing and mobility-related investments.
