Robin Huesmann is the Managing Director of Rising Generation GmbH and also serves as the CIO of LEIPA Group. The final investment decision rests with the investment committee of the LEIPA Group’s owning family.

The firm uses an active scouting model, supplemented by a free, bookable 'startup office hours' session with Robin Huesmann at the Berlin office and an open email pitch channel. It also evaluates startups met at events and through the LEIPA Group's industrial network.

Rising Generation invests in seed, early-stage, and growth-phase companies. It draws a line at mature, established companies, which fall under the direct purview of the LEIPA Group's corporate investment strategy.

The firm offers access to the LEIPA Group’s supplier and customer network, on-site infrastructure like office space at industrial facilities, mentoring from an 'Entrepreneur in Residence' network, and the ability to pilot products in a real industrial environment for proof of concept.

The firm's stated focus spans paper and packaging applications, printing technology, retail and e-commerce convergence, energy solutions for industrial sites, customer experience, and B2B logistics and process optimization.

It functions as a hybrid. It is a private venture capital company wholly owned by the LEIPA Group's founding family, making it structurally a single family office. Operationally, it runs a formal, phase-gated venture investment process.

The firm targets a maximum period of three months from the first meeting to a final investment decision, moving through phases of introduction, validation, letter of intent and due diligence, and final contract.
