The company's strategy centers on breadth: it operates in over 80 countries with 125+ offices, offering services across fund administration, corporate secretarial, regulatory compliance, and accounting. TMF Group does not deploy capital but facilitates deployment for clients including asset managers, private equity firms, and family offices. In May 2023, the firm launched TMF Group Venture Capital, a dedicated unit to serve VC firms and startups with rapid incorporation and compliance services tailored for high-growth ecosystems (per the firm, May 2023). The company also operates a philanthropic foundation, TMF Group Foundation, focused on education and community development in the regions where it works. A structural differentiator: TMF Group avoids capital-at-risk positions entirely. Its revenue model is fee-for-service, creating no conflicts of interest with clients who are also capital allocators. This neutrality extends to its ownership — the firm is privately held by private equity investors, most recently acquired by funds managed by CVC Capital Partners in 2022, which has funded geographic expansion and technology upgrades without changing the firm's operational posture.
