AMTIVO Group was founded in 2018 and is backed by private equity firm Charterhouse Capital Partners. The company has grown rapidly through a series of acquisitions, consolidating certification bodies across multiple countries including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Japan, China, Malta, and the US. The group's core business is providing ISO and industry certification services covering standards such as ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 27001 (information security), and ISO 45001 (health and safety). Its portfolio spans management system certification, IT security, contractor accreditation, and government-backed compliance schemes. AMTIVO operates through a collection of acquired brands, including British Assessment Bureau in the UK, Orion Registrar in North America, and Certification Europe in Ireland. The group has expanded its geographic footprint across 15 countries and serves clients in multiple sectors. AMTIVO employs over 500 people and manages more than 36,000 live certificates. Recent growth includes the acquisition of EuCI European Certificate Institute Ltd in Malta in February 2025 and the integration of BQAI in Ireland in June 2025. The group's strategy centers on geographic expansion and cross-selling certification services within its network. Unlike a typical single-family office, AMTIVO Group operates as a roll-up platform backed by external private equity. Its structural differentiator is the aggregation of fragmented local certification providers into a global network, allowing economies of scale while maintaining local accreditation and expertise.
