The AngelMD Catalyst fund, first launched as a registered vehicle in 2019, is an exempt reporting adviser arm that pools capital from institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals for investments into companies sourced through the AngelMD platform. Individual accredited physicians can also co-invest directly in specific deals through syndicates and SPVs alongside the fund. The fund acts as the centralized, managed vehicle for larger commitments, while the platform facilitates direct access for physicians.

The network serves as a distributed diligence resource. Physicians with relevant specialty training review technologies and provide structured clinical assessments before the Catalyst investment team completes financial underwriting. AngelMD believes this sequence — clinical vetting before capital commitment — reduces the risk of funding technologies that lack genuine end-user utility. The network includes physicians spanning most major clinical specialties.
