The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, established in 1926, is a not-for-profit educational institution and the largest outdoor living history museum in the world. It preserves and operates the restored 18th-century capital of Virginia, encompassing a 301-acre historic area with hundreds of restored or recreated buildings.
