CEO Brett Lindsey leads Everstream's executive decisions, with CFO Bill Major overseeing capital allocation and budgeting. The firm raised institutional backing from Amp Capital (now part of Macquarie Asset Management) in 2018, which may provide strategic input, but day-to-day operational and build-out decisions remain with the internal leadership team.

Everstream operates over 27,000 route miles of fiber, primarily across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, and neighboring states. While far smaller than AT&T or Lumen, it ranks among the largest dedicated enterprise fiber platforms in the Midwest, with a network designed for business traffic rather than consumer or mobile backhaul.

Everstream uses a dual approach: organic construction of high-fiber-count long-haul routes between major markets, combined with strategic acquisitions. Notable acquisitions include Rocket Fiber (2018, Detroit market entry) and the purchase of select Uniti Group Midwest fiber assets (2020) to deepen existing metropolitan reach.

The firm provides dedicated internet access, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint Ethernet, dark fiber leases, wavelengths, and colocation at edge data centers. The service set is tailored for bandwidth-intensive customers — healthcare systems, university campuses, financial services, and cloud service providers require the low latency and route diversity its network is engineered to deliver.

Amp Capital became a significant investor in 2018, later transitioning into Macquarie Asset Management's infrastructure portfolio. Everstream has not announced any specific exit timeline, but the consolidation trend among regional fiber platforms makes it a plausible acquisition target for larger infrastructure funds or an eventual public listing candidate.
