Federation of Real Estate Transaction Corporate Pension Fund

The fund operates under the regulatory authority of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, which supervises all corporate and welfare pension funds. Its governance board is composed of representatives elected from the member companies in the real estate transaction sector, ensuring alignment between employer interests and beneficiary obligations.

The fund follows a liability-driven investment strategy calibrated to meet defined-benefit obligations. It allocates across Japanese and global fixed income, domestic and international equities, and alternative assets, with external asset managers including trust banks and global institutional firms acting as fiduciary delegates for specific mandates.

Contributing members are Japanese companies engaged in real estate brokerage, appraisal, leasing, and property transaction settlement. Both employers and participating employees contribute to the fund, which then manages the pooled capital under a centralized pension trust arrangement.
