Fininvest was established in 1961 as the central holding vehicle for the Berlusconi family interests. Marina Berlusconi serves as chairwoman and Pier Silvio Berlusconi leads the media operations through MFE-MediaForEurope. The firm functions as both owner and investor in listed and private assets. Investment activity centers on long-term equity holdings in media, publishing and financial services. Confirmed positions include a 48.6 percent stake in MFE-MediaForEurope, a 53.3 percent stake in Arnoldo Mondadori Editore and a 30.1 percent stake in Banca Mediolanum held with the Doris family. The firm also maintains a 20 percent interest in AC Monza and full ownership of Alba Servizi Aerotrasporti. Geographic focus remains Italy with additional exposure through ProSiebenSat.1 in Germany. Capital is deployed via direct ownership of operating companies and real estate rather than external fund commitments. The firm reports 707.81 million USD in disclosed assets. Additional offices are not maintained outside Rome. Fininvest Real Estate & Services holds multiple residential properties including Villa Certosa and Villa San Martino. In June 2024 the firm held its annual shareholders meeting in Milan to approve the 2023 financial statements. Two family foundations were established recently: Fondazione Silvio Berlusconi in 2024 and Fondazione Ennio Doris in 2022. Ownership is divided among family members with Marina and Pier Silvio each controlling 26.5 percent stakes. H14 S.p.A. represents the interests of Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi Berlusconi and holds a minority position. This family-branch structure governs both voting control and asset allocation decisions.
