No. Fortis Investments was acquired by BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2010, and its operations — including the private equity fund-of-funds unit — were fully integrated into BNP Paribas' asset management structure. The Fortis-branded investment platform no longer exists as an independent entity.

Fortis Investments was the asset management subsidiary of Fortis Group, which collapsed in September 2008 after participating in the €71 billion ABN AMRO consortium acquisition alongside Royal Bank of Scotland and Banco Santander. The parent group's overleveraged position forced a Dutch government bailout and nationalization of its Netherlands operations, leading to the piecemeal sale of Fortis Investments and other subsidiaries.

The private equity fund-of-funds mandates and underlying LP commitments originated by Fortis Investments were absorbed into BNP Paribas Private Equity, which subsequently rebranded to BNP Paribas Principal Investments. No separate legacy Fortis private equity vehicle continues to operate.

The firm primarily operated as a private equity fund-of-funds manager, committing client capital to third-party general partners across European and North American middle-market buyout and growth equity funds. It occasionally exercised co-investment rights alongside underlying GPs when mandate terms permitted, but direct deal origination was not the core strategy.

The platform predominantly served Benelux-based pension funds, insurers, and retail clients of Fortis Bank and Fortis Insurance. Its fund-of-funds products were distributed through the parent group's private banking network, making it a primarily captive client model rather than a third-party institutional fundraising operation.
