General Information

The Arc of the United States (National Office) & Foundation is the largest community-based organization in the U.S. advocating for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Founded in 1950 by parents, its mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with IDD and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. The organization works to ensure every person and family living with disabilities has access to the information, supports, and skills needed for inclusion.
