After Gartmore underwent successive acquisitions by Nationwide, Banque Indosuez, and Hellman & Friedman, the private equity operation was separated from the listed asset management entity. The broader Gartmore brand was ultimately retired when Henderson Group acquired the remaining asset management business in 2011.
