The firm owns a cluster of landmark Vienna properties, including the Generali-Hof at Graben 13, retail and office space along Kohlmarkt, and Schwarzenbergplatz 3. It also controls the Galaxy Tower in Leopoldstadt and the Generali-Arena site. These assets are managed for income and brand presence within the group's broader global real estate platform.

Cathay Life, a major Taiwanese insurer, holds a 16.75% equity stake in Generali Investments Holding. This cross-holding creates a strategic partnership that opens co-investment channels between European and Asian institutional capital, particularly relevant for infrastructure and real estate transactions where both groups seek long-duration, inflation-sensitive returns.

The firm manages insurance policyholder capital from Generali's Austrian book of business through its parent group. Generali Investments, the broader asset management platform in which the Vienna entity participates, also serves external institutional clients, but Generali Holding Vienna itself is not a third-party fund manager. Its real asset decisions are dictated by balance-sheet liability-matching requirements.

Through Generali Real Estate, the group has partnered with Meliá Hotels International to refurbish and reposition historic properties as luxury hotels. This strategy targets durable cash flows tied to premium urban locations, positioning the firm as a direct owner-operator in an asset class that bridges commercial real estate and operating business exposure.
